I'm back! It's wonderful to be home! I really missed home, but had a wonderful time on vacation. My mom didn't do a good job at keeping my blog updated. She liked doing mine so well that she forgot about it and started her own. Go figure. : ) I kept a journal during vacation. Some people think I should put it up on my blog. So I am going to take some parts out of it.

We left at 4:57 am. Larry leading us on to Lincoln, NE. As was we pulled out of the driveway it started raining. Not bad actually. Just barely sprinkling. About a mile down the road we had to pull over. Larry's luggage rack on top of his van was not strapped down well enough. They got it fixed and were back on the road. At 4:4something we pulled into Mormon Island Campground. It is a very nice campsite. We traveled 653 miles in about 11 and a half hours. That is really good timing for all the times we stopped. Mamaw got the happy camper award.

They had gotten our whitewater rafting tickets. So we ate lunch, piled in the truck, and took off. We got there excited and ready for anything. ( we meaning Papaw, Mamaw, Larry, Justin, Cody, I, Dillon, Jay, Wyatt, Malachi, and Josie) Wyatt almost backed out, but Mamaw talked him into staying. On the first part of the trip Malachi and Wyatt rode in the front of the raft. I mean the very front! They got drenched!!!!!! It was to much for Wyatt. Malachi loved it! Wyatt moved in the back. When he moved in the back Josie and Justin moved up front. Josie loved it almost as much as Malachi. Dillon almost fell off. It was really funny. I almost fell off as well, but grabbed a hold of Jay before any damage was done. On the second part of the trip Dillon and I sat beside each other. For some reason our side got drenched! The water was cold as well. We all had soo much fun. Maddie was very sad. She really wanted to go. I know she would have loved it. She bawled for a half hour. She finally snapped out of it. Sherry was thankful for that.

Mamaw made butterscotch oatmeal. It was good. Almost all of it was gone. So Larry told Jay to "clean the bowl." Meaning for Jay to eat the rest. Which Jay did, and that would have been fine. Except we forgot that Josie hadn't gotten any. Justin mentioned something about saving some for her, but it kind of slipped our minds. When Justin came to get some for Josie he blew up. Him and Jay really got into it. Since they both have big mouths the argument was really loud. So Papaw came around and told them (really Jay) to shut up. Which they did. No more has been said about it ...yet. : ) Justin fixed Josie some instant oatmeal so no serious harm was done. Once everything was calmed down we had Sunday School. It was nice. We did the usual sing songs, pray, and read the lesson. Afterwards everyone went there own way,

We made it to SD. Larry spotted a campground. It was perfect! It had showers, electricity, water, and a Landry mat. We were soo happy! The showers were wonderful! We had real food to eat. Everyone was perfectly happy. Until later that evening. Justin told Jay and Dillon to set up his tent. So they get to work and have it almost all set up except for the rain guard. When something snapped. Justin happened to be around. He went into a carnal fit! Poor Dillon got the tongue lashing of the century! Justin really let him have it. They fixed the tent and everything is fine now. I seriously doubt that Justin will tell Jay and Dillon to set up his tent. : )

Today is the last day of vacation. We are in Independence MO right now. We got this morning and it was raining. After raining so bad last night that we had stop at a hotel and it was still raining. Too bad for us. We loaded up and hit the road. We get on the road and what do you Dillon cuts his thumb. He gets sick at the site of his blood and throws up. Lucky for everyone we had a plastic bag around for him. He's better now. It's only 9:00 am and we've already had this much fun. We made it to Larry's around 3:00. We were happy to be at a real house. Justin left as soon as he loaded up and took a shower. We stayed at Larry's for the night. I slept out in the church. I really like doing that. We plan on leaving in the morning. Our next stop is, McArthur, OH.

We left at 8:18. We are heading HOME!!! FINALLY! Three wonderful weeks of vacation are now history. It has been an AWESOME vacation.

That was my last entry in my journal. We made it home around five and was I glad to be home. Mom was happy to Jay and I. Meg was happy to see her kids as well. We had a really good. Now that this trip is history it's time to start planning the next one. Next stop Jasper, AL.! : ) Can't wait to see to you Alabamians. I am going down there for Youth Camp then going to PA for church camp. I know I'm going to have the next 2 weeks. Besides all of this going on Monday I get my braces off! I am so excited! I will have straight teeth without the metal. I have been counting the days down for the last 2 weeks!!!! I am going to post some pictures of vacation as soon as get them downloaded once I get them downloaded I will immediately put them up so you can see all the fun I had.
